The fine print, in plain words.

How we handle your information, how jobs work, and what we can and cannot promise.

Privacy policy

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect what you send: your name, email address, phone number if you include it, and your description of the work. Our site may also collect standard analytics such as pages visited and general location. We do not collect more than we need to respond and do the work.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, quote work, and complete the jobs you request. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to mailing lists you did not ask for.

Website credentials

To work on your site, you may share logins for your hosting, domain, or website platform. We use them only for the work you approve, store them securely, and delete them on request when the work is done.

Questions or removal

Email Contact@LocalWebsiteHelp.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.

Terms of service

Quotes and payment

Every job is quoted before work starts. The quote covers the scope described in it. If the scope changes, we re-quote before continuing. Payment is due as stated on the quote or invoice.

Access and timing

Work begins after we have working access to your website, hosting, or accounts. Timelines we give assume that access. Delays in providing access extend the timeline accordingly.

Your content

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content, images, and claims you ask us to publish, and for having the rights to any material you provide.

Ownership

Once a job is paid for, the work we produced for it belongs to you. Third-party tools, platforms, and licenses remain subject to their own terms.

No ongoing obligation

Each job stands alone. Neither of us is committed to future work unless we agree to it in writing.

Limitation of liability

Our responsibility for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from work we performed in good faith.

Search and AI rankings

SEO and AI search work improves the factors that rankings depend on. No one controls Google or AI platforms, so we do not guarantee a specific ranking, position, or traffic level, and you should not trust anyone who does.

Third-party platforms

Websites depend on hosts, domain registrars, plugins, and platforms we do not operate. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or data loss caused by those services.

General information

Guides and articles on this site are general information, not legal, medical, or financial advice. For compliance questions specific to your business, such as HIPAA requirements, consult a qualified professional.

Security disclaimer

Shared responsibility

Website security is shared among many parties: your hosting company, domain registrar, website platform, plugin authors, email provider, you, and us. No single party, including us, can guarantee a website or account will never be compromised.

What we do

We follow reasonable security practices: we use your credentials only for approved work, store them securely, delete them on request, and keep our own systems updated and protected.

What we cannot promise

We cannot guarantee that any website, server, email account, or computer system, ours, yours, or a third party’s, is immune to attack. If a compromise, malware infection, ransomware event, or data breach occurs on systems we do not own and operate, we are not responsible for the resulting damage, loss, or recovery costs, provided we exercised reasonable care in our own work.

Mutual protection

The same applies in reverse: if your systems or accounts are compromised, you are responsible for incidents originating there. We each agree to notify the other promptly if a compromise appears to affect the other’s systems or credentials.

Reducing the risk

Good backups, updated software, strong unique passwords, and two-factor authentication prevent most incidents. We are glad to set these up as part of any maintenance job.
