Local Website Help

You are witnessing the birth of a new website and service – and hopefully a solution for those who need it.

It wasn’t expected or planned, In fact, it has happened quite by accident. Maybe even by destiny (although I’m not a believer in destiny).

I’ve noticed for quite some time the need for a service that provides small businesses a solution to being abandoned by their last online web developer or online marketer.

Maybe you’ve heard about this…

A business hires a web developer or online marketer, has some work done, then the business owner looks around, waiting for help on the next steps to get customers before their competition does and…

…crickets…

Where’s the help moving forward?

Where’s the website maintenance to keep it updated and current, to keep adding useful content so the business is seen as a trustworthy leader in the marketplace?

What if some Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or online ads could bring in new business cost-effectively?

Where’s that help and guidance?

There are so many get-rich-quick programs sold to individuals that want to have an online agency. They promise a fast way to over-charge unsuspecting business owners for web design, online marketing, content creation, social media management, etc.

One of these instant, newbie marketing agencies decides they are going to offer online services. They get a few clients, maybe deliver the service, and then they’re off and chasing their next customer over and over, neglecting the clients they’re already doing business with.

They end up under-servicing their existing clients, which I feel betrays their initial trust and obligation.

I was taught long ago that a having a ‘client’ is a relationship where you look out for their best interests. You don’t abandon them in your own best interests.

Yes, you may change your mind or they theirs at any point. But there’s an agreement and a consideration that stands until the day one or both of you communicate the need or desire for a change.

From what I’ve seen, too often a business finds itself being charged for work it doesn’t know how to value. That doesn’t mean the work they are provided isn’t valuable. But it does mean that there’s a lack of communication in the relationship that eventually leads to the two parties going separate ways.

Sometimes it’s for the better. Other times it should and could have been avoided with more open communication.

In most cases I’ve seen, the business client is left hanging, not knowing where to go from there. Then they step into a bear trap that does more harm than good – often out of desperation.

To me, that’s a failure on the part of the agency that asked for that business relationship in the first place.

Yours may be a business that knows EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

It’s pitiful and a shame and I’ve decided to try and offer a better way.

A business I frequent (that has probably even extended my life) has inspired me to offer website-related services they and others might need to be and stay competitive online.

While others who provide these service may want to get rich from them, I’d prefer to get a fair rate for my time in exchange for providing what they’re missing – what their website and online presence needs to stay competitive and, whenever possible, surpass their competition.

My recommendations are what I would tell my own mother or sister, brother or friend. I can only recommend what I would do myself on my own web projects with my  own assets at stake.

My number one mantra is, “Test for results before fully committing to spending money you don’t want to throw away”.

You test to win or lose, but you’ll learn either way what gets you closer to the results you want – and in the process minimize your cost to do so.

When I worked as an art director in the corporate world, I saw so many budgets wasted on marketing tools that were the bright idea of someone in an ivory tower.

I eventually came to realize my focus needed to be on marketing strategy and tactics that could be measured for bottom-line results, not personal preferences or an ego-boost.

In other words, if you want to dump a lot of money into any online marketing idea, concept, or next bright and shiny object, I can’t help you. But if you want to expand your online presence, be found in more places by people who are looking for what you offer, and maintain a reputation that people want to do business with, I’m here to help you.

I do charge for my time, but it’s a fraction of what you’ll likely pay most agencies and even other online marketers and web developers for.

Reach out if you have any questions and let’s see if I can help you.
